Creativity
meet the principal
I've spent the last five years in NYC and NNJ focused on designing and inspecting buildings and other small structures. Now, I'm taking on the Hudson Valley and building a practice of my own. Beyond my love of old buildings and cool architecture, I enjoy exploring the live music scene of the Capital Region, chilling with my 20 year old cat, and splashing around the local creeks.
Licensed in New York State.
Sage Freter, PE — Structural engineer, chronic daydreamer, enthusiastic supporter of the arts.

It's a little unorthodox to share one's resume on a professional services website, but it is useful to show the breadth of projects I've had the privilege of working on throughout my career thus far. There is so much work being done in this region, and structural engineering is such a broad field in itself.
The work listed here is my background, my foundation — my plinth, if you will. These firms showed me just how much different work is out there, and helped me find work I really love doing.
